Three Little Naughty Fairies
By Stelios and Amber
Inspired by Aaron Becker’s wordless book selection, the class started to make stories of their own. So the teacher seized the chance of making a story that includes everyone in the class.
We started off by creating the children’s own characters. Then after an open discussion, we set up a logical storyline that included everyone. We then set the theme of the story which is adventure and friendship, the children expressed about what they (the character they play) wish to achieve in the story.
After the draft was written, the teacher read it to the class again and everyone agreed on the final version of the story. The children then illustrated their own characters and the different settings of the story.
Everyone excitedly recorded their own lines in the story. There are flaws in grammar and pronunciation but we decided to keep it authentic and used the original recording.
Lastly, it was the teachers’ job to write and record the script, choose the music and bring the characters alive. It took a lot of the teachers’ spare time but the result is so rewarding!
